Community

At Octopus Australia, we’re committed to building meaningful and positive relationships with the community where we operate. We prioritise building respectful, long-lasting community connections and creating benefits in our local areas.

Our community-focused approach shapes our benefit-sharing programs, tailored to each region’s unique context and values. As part of our community benefit framework, we will establish the Fulham Solar Farm and Battery Community Fund. The Fund will provide up to $50,000 annually to support small projects within 40km of the project.

We’re keen to hear from anyone who has a bright idea for community-based projects we can support which are aligned to our vision.

More information will be provided to community organisations towards the end of construction.

Octopus Australia is also exploring partnerships with local educational providers to grow the understanding of solar energy generation and further support Gippsland’s transition to a clean energy future.

An updated planning application was approved by DELWP on 4 December 2024. All documents are available on the DELWP website.
