Community

At Octopus Australia, we’re committed to building meaningful and positive relationships with the community where we operate. We prioritise building respectful, long-lasting community connections and creating benefits in our local areas.

Our community-focused approach shapes our benefit-sharing programs, tailored to each region’s unique context and values. As part of our community benefit framework, we will establish the Fulham Solar Farm and Battery Community Fund. The Fund will provide up to $40,000 annually to support small projects within 40km of the project.

The Community Reference Group has been set-up and had their first meeting on the 11^th of February. The next meeting is on the 11^th of May 2026.

Octopus Australia is also exploring partnerships with local educational providers to grow the understanding of solar energy generation and further support Gippsland’s transition to a clean energy future.
